Written Scope of Works
-
Write a detailed scope of works document
-
This is an important document, along with drawing documentation, as it will be used to price against by the tendering contractors and will form the basis on which the client will make decisions on who too appoint.
-
My experience and interior construction knowledge ensures all written scope of works, no matter how small or large a project be, are professionally presented, compliant and relevant to the works required.

Cost Management
A key part of any project managers responsibility. Working to a client signed off budget, no matter how small or large, is essential and there are two important elements I always follow:
1. Ensure the scope of work and designs are aligned and as comprehensive as possible before the client signs the budget off and before any works are commenced on site. This will reduce the need for the contractor to claim for extra works which can often be costly.
2. Providing regular financial updates to the client, bringing clients attention to any key issues that could affect the budget.
I am always transparent with cost management to ensuring client confidence and trust throughout the project.

Programming
I provide:
-
A detailed coordinated programme illustrating time lines for all works to be undertaken including important milestone dates.
A delayed programme can often mean increased costs for both contractor and client and whilst sometimes it is unavoidable, having a detailed programme to follow and monitor against is essential for all concerned.

Overseeing On Site Fit Out Works
I provide the following services:
-
Regularly attend site to check on progress and ensure all plans and details are been followed by the contractor and being on hand to answer any queries.
-
Attend client meetings to update on progress, and provide written meeting minutes.
-
On completion of the works fully inspect and prepare a snagging list for contractors action.
-
On completion of the snagging invite the client to inspect the works and any remaining snags highlighted will be addressed, after which the client will formally sign off the work.

Bespoke Joinery
Most projects will have some requirement for bespoke quality built in joinery that is handcrafted by time served joiners and installed by experienced fitters. RHC works closely with a highly skilled joinery company who provide quality bespoke furniture from bespoke kitchens to reception desks.
